The years 635 and 637

What happened during the years 536 and 537?

EUROPE,  MIDDLE EAST AND PARTS OF ASIA,BYZANTINE EMPIRE, WHERE IN DARKNESS FOR 18 MONTHS.

WHY?  Geologists say  the “dust veil” ( reported by the historian Procopius and the Roman statesman Cassiodorus) was caused by volcanoes in Iceland and Central America were the culprits. So was a piece of Halley’s Comet that collided with the earth.

People died from lack of food; economies were ruined.

Some notes;

1, volcanic eruptions , along with earthquakes and tsunamis, are caused by earth’s tectonic plate shifting; the thinner plate goes under the thicker one.

2.The volcano in Central America was Ilopango.

3.The volcano in Iceland was Eyjafjallajokull.

4, the Halley’s Comet’s fragment causing more dust was considered the harbinger of doom.

5. That period of time is referred to as the worst ever.

6. The year 536 ushered in the little ice age that lasted until 660.

Some discussion of GMOs

1. Neutral foods have problems for some people: allergic to milk foods, allergic to wheat , peanuts just name the main ones.

2. GMO foods could be developed to use less of earths resources.

3. An example of a beneficial crop is cotton. It produces more “ energy” than used. The plant Also produces seed which is used to make to make oil. By the way, there is a 10 year plan to make cotton sustainable.

3. An example of GMOs that could be grown that could probably turn a good profit are hot peppers, since people do ask for, and buy food to add more “ spice” to their food.

Discussion topics

1- what are the horrors of GMO?

2.what are the most expensive herbs, spices, seasoning . Where are they grown? Where can they be grown? Can they economically replace crops that are used for bad drugs. Can GMO crops be developed and used for this purpose?

3.- note: in USA the east is lush, the west it dry where water s problem.

4. How do we get rain water from the east to the west?

3.

5- can consider old and new technology. the old technology would for example, collecting rain from homes with “rain barrels”. The new might be tanker trucks and pipelines.
