Algae from the book “ How things work.”

There are three important algae for humans:

1- Wakame- used in kitchen to prepare soups and salads.

2- Konbu- used grated, fried and marinated in vinegar. Source for vitamin b-12, magnesium and iodine.

3- Nori- used as a wrapper for sushi. It is rich in calcium, phosphorus, vitaminsA,C,D,B1,B2 and proteins .
