Basically there are three parts to the digital camera:

1- input sensor that replaced film.

2.binary processor that converts the analog sensor site signals to digital signals.

3- a microprocessor compresses and stores the digital onto a memory card in a JPG or TIFF format which can be displayed and edited on a digital computer.
